JOEL MCMAHON is Chairman and CEO of Jay Industrial Repair Mr. McMahon has 20 years of industry experience. He attended the University of Alabama and graduated with a Bachelor Of Arts degree from Birmingham Southern College in 1992. Mr. McMahon’s business experience includes his work at National Bank of Commerce and Precision Electric Coil. He purchased Jay Industrial Repair and Precision in 1995. McMahon is active in the Monday Morning Quarterback Club and the Red Elephant Club. He serves on community leadership committees and was fund raiser for the United Way deTocqueville Society.
WILLIAM SHIVER is President of Jay Industrial Repair. William has over 27 years of experience in the electrical apparatus repair industry. William comes to Jay Industrial Repair after spending 18 years with Tampa Armature Works. Mr. Shiver’s experience includes field service management, plant management and business development. Mr. Shiver graduated from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama and went on to complete his MBA at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. As president, Mr. Shiver will be focused on maximizing the potential for the motor service division and expansion into new markets.
KRISTINA WILSON is Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Wilson is a native of South Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Mississippi and Master of Accountancy from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Ms. Wilson began in 2014 as Corporate Controller with responsibility for treasury and cash management activities, financial and management reporting and human resources. Her previous business experience includes 12 years in Big Four public accounting and successful private equity held companies serving the telecommunications and publishing industries, most recently with Momentum Telecom. She was promoted in 2016 and continues to focus on maintaining the financial strength of the company through balance sheet management while maximizing sustainable growth and operational efficiency. Ms. Wilson is actively involved in the community and church where she leads international missionary and service groups.
DAVID HYDE is President of Operations for the Precision Group. Mr. Hyde was raised in a military family and started his career as motor winder and coil maker for Cleveland Electric Co. in 1977. He was production supervisor for Cleveland Electric Coil and in 1992 he was the driving force in a new coil manufacturing business under the name of Precision. His career experience includes development and testing of insulation systems along with marketing and manufacturing productivity. He is responsible for the creation of the Precision Coil and Rotor business unit and Precision High Voltage Systems.
CHASE FELL is Vice President of Engineering for Jay Industrial Repair and Precision. Mr. Fell’s career experience includes work at Andersen Consulting, Reliance Electric Company, ESSEX-Brownell and Montevallo Electric. He served as president of the Birmingham Jaycees Foundation and was general manager of Precision Rotor Services. Mr. Fell’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Auburn University. He is responsible for Engineering for the company.
ALLEN PLYMON is Corporate Reliability Manager for Jay Industrial Repair and heads up our training and education facility. Allen is also one of highest certified and respected vibration experts in the United States. He serves on the board of the Vibration Institute and conducts certification classes for the institute.
RANDY WARD is Corporate Project Manager for Jay Industrial Repair and has served in numerous roles since going Jay in early 2014. Randy is a true team guy and always willing to do what it takes and fill any role to make the company successful. He is invaluable in many ways and fortunate to have him on our team.
